The cutting unit mod. SLT S is the scissor cutting unit that COMATEX usually offers for fabric cutting and trimming machines.

Consisting of a blade holder complete with a ø150mm blade, the unit can also be easily added to existing machines for cutting strips or trimming the fabric. COMATEX offers a scissor-type cutting model with a stroke of up to 25mm for each individual blade and a maximum cutting speed of 1400 m/min.

Each blade assembly has a maximum overall width of 48mm, which allows the assembly to make a minimum cut of 50mm.

The cut is performed by applying vertical and then horizontal pressure to the blade against a motorized counter blade. The rotation of the blade and the rotation of the counter blade create a perfectly linear cut of the fabric without creating waste.

Horizontal positioning along the width of the fabric is very easy: in fact, it is possible to move each individual cutting group on a rack guide with a millimetric rod, by rotating a ring nut on the body of the knife holder and fixing it in position thanks to a manual handwheel.

In case of multi-cutting, it is possible to simply exclude only the cutting group(s) to be excluded, without having to move all the other groups.

COMATEX offers each individual cutting group with an integrated guard, or with protection of the entire cutting area.
