The fabric width sensor mod. W-TEC is the sensor for continuous reading of the width of the fabric that the machine is processing, simple to install even on existing machinery, with reading optimized for transparent fabrics.

With a resolution of 5mm, the sensor is one of the most advanced in the market, ideal for sheer fabrics such as organza, georgette, chiffon and tulle or perforated fabrics such as lace and mesh.

Designed specifically for the sector in which COMATEX operates, the sensor can be connected to a PC or PLC for the transmission of width data, as well as anomaly signals in the event of strange or ambiguous readings.

Also available in a version with a central dead zone, the sensor is designed and adjusted based on the range of fabrics processed by the customer.

The ideal mounting position for the sensor is just before winding, or in any case after the spreading rollers that take out the natural folds of the fabrics.
