The seam sensor mod. S-TEC is the sensor for detecting transverse seams in fabrics, ideal at the entrance of production, inspection and cutting machines.

Available in various versions, from the simplest to the most technologically advanced, it is chosen based on the type of seam to be detected. It can detect flat or chain-stitch seams, by contact or without contact.

The most common version is the contact version for all types of seams, ideal for production machines; the system sends a signal to the line to slow down or stop for the arrival of the seam.

The second version is the contactless one for flat seams: the sensor detects the space between the edges of the seam and sends a signal to the line to slow down or stop for the arrival of the seam.

The most technologically advanced version is the one that uses fiber optic technology, which uses the detection of the thickness difference to send a signal to the line to slow down or stop for the arrival of the seam.
